Creepy Broadbean Fact

Broadbeans are the oldest of all our beans, dating back to Stone Age times. Mystical beliefs were that broadbeans, when offered in marriage ensured the birth of a baby son. It was also believed that broadbeans, if eaten before a birth ensured the birth of a baby son.

True or false?

We find this fact very creepy having looked at the six Beaners who have children.

Broadbean Founder, Kelly, has two little boys; Luke, BB Technical Director has a boy and baby girl (the boy being the oldest). Ricky, the Marketing Director and Lee, EA to Dan, have both just had their first children, and guess what? ...both were baby boys!

A member of the BB Sales Team, Paul, had a daughter before he joined The Bean, however his first child after starting at BB was a little boy!! This is the same for our Financial Director Stuart, whose first child after arriving at Bean HQ was a little boy.

As all six Beaners have had boys whilst working at Broadbean, we find this mystical belief hard not to believe, so if you want a boy we recommend joining The Bean.
